Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist in Hospitals - Joe Seiffert  (jseif@aol.com)

Ministers, approved by the Pastor, take the Eucharist to persons in the hospitals in Lynchburg each week. 

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist in Nursing Homes and to the Homebound - Ann Echols  (ann.echols@comcast.net)

Take Communion to parishioners who are not able to come to Mass.

Prepares and serves receptions after funerals.

Checks on parishioners that have recently been released from the hospital.

Accepts donations of medical equipment, organizes the storage area and arranges loans to parishioners.

Take blood pressure after Mass, home follow-ups after hospital discharges, medical information in the newsletter and in the Commons, medical equipment closet, annual blood drive and informative seminars.

People who live alone are able to talk with parishioners, to check on each other, and create friendships.

Prayer Line - Mary Mugnolo   (marycmugnolo@cs.com)

Prayer requests are received and shared with prayer ministers who incorporate these requests into their own prayer life.

Prayer Shawls – Katie Thomas (katiejanethomas@rocketmail.com)

The prayer shawls are given to widowers and to those in need of healing. Recipients are blessed and prayed over by the community. Some members of the group also make chemo caps and other items.

Prepare and deliver home-cooked meals to meet short-term needs of ill parishioners.

Packs and delivers baskets to the needy at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter.

Bereavement Support Group:  This program is rooted in faith and conveys God’s consolation through scripture, prayer, reflection and fellowship. This program is a safe, comforting place to be among others who are going through the experience of loss.
